EFT Peer Group: Held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month
WHAT IS EFT PEER GROUP?
EFT Peer Group is open to anyone interested in growing their skills as an EFT therapist. Our group participants are at a variety of stages in their EFT journey, from newly introduced to Emotionally Focused Therapy, to Certified EFT Supervisors. All interested in learning the model are encouraged to attend!

ICEEFT Approved Trainings
The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy, ICEEFT, is the accrediting body for official EFT trainings and the certification of EFT therapists, supervisors and trainers. ICEEFT offers a wide range of trainings, primarily online while we are still navigating COVID-19 safeguards, for all levels of training. On their site you will find links to the initial 4-day externship trainings, core skills trainings, as well as special topics such as using the EFT model with addictions, infidelity, family therapy, individual therapy and more.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the key assumptions of attachment theory as it applies to adult sexuality.
2. Describe insecurely attached strategies used in the negative sexual cycle.
3. How to use specificity in the couple’s sexual encounter description to assemble, deepen, distill and share their emotional experience.
4. Discuss common therapeutic impasses with sexual dysfunctions and how to address them with EFT.

The first step in becoming certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy is to complete a 4-day EFT Externship. The externship offers clinicians an opportunity to learn an overview of the model, as well as specific steps and stages unique to the EFT approach. During the externship therapists will participate in group discussion, small and large group exercises, view video of the approach being demonstrated as well as observe a live session facilitated by your trainer.
